Why so many names never arrive

More than thirty killer concepts and eleven survivor concepts have been scrapped outright, including Jason — who was not scrapped but redesigned into Slasher in August 2025 over copyright concerns with the Friday the 13th rights holders.

That Jason case is the useful one to understand, because it explains a whole category of confusion. Jason was a playable killer, was redesigned into Slasher rather than removed, and kept most of his kit. Guides written before that change still name him, so if you see "Jason" in a 2025 tier list it is describing the character now called Slasher — not a missing killer you failed to unlock.

How to tell a real reveal from a leak

Revealed: posted by the developers on their own X account or in the official Discord. These are the entries in the first two lists above.
Unconfirmed: mentioned by someone on the team, or considered internally, with no commitment. The third and fourth lists.
Neither: a render someone made. If a name is not on this page, it is probably fan art — the wiki-tracked reveal list is short for a reason.
